Disable Administrative Shares & Protect Your PC




Today a lot of attack towards computer is increasing. Hackers inventing new technics to broke the security of computers. When the administrative shares are enabled it will cause a serious injury to your computer.
                                  Administrative shares are allow network access to all drives connected to your computer.eventhough the shared drives are not visible in the network enviourment , they can still be accessed by simply entering  “ <drive letter>$(for example, “c$”)into the address bar.

EFFECTS OF THIS PROBLEM

Administrative shares can be a security risk .when an individual knows OR can find out the password of a user with administrative privileges, he/she can access all of the data on the computer


HOW TO DISABLE
  • Start
  • Settings
  • Control Panel
  • Systems Tools panel
  • Shared Folders
  • Double-click the Shared Folders branch to expand it
  • Click Shares
  • In the Shared Folder column, right-click the share you want to disable
  • Click Stop sharing
  • Click OK.
